We know it’s still cold outside, but it’s time to plan ahead, spring is the best time to repair your asphalt driveway.
While asphalt is durable material, it can become cracked over time. Repairing these cracks sooner rather than later is imperative as they will only continue to grow with continued temperature fluctuations. Your local hardware store will have the supplies you need to fill a small crack yourself, simply look for a sealant that comes in a caulking gun for ease of use.
The first step is to clean any dirt or debris from the crack, a screwdriver can come in handy to loosen dirt and excess can be vacuumed away with a shop vac. Then, you can simply fill the crack following the instructions on your sealant, being sure to observe the suggested drying time.
